Our commitment to safety and efficacy is paramount and something we will always value as the key priority for the Gem brand. Following agreement with the Therapeutics Goods Administration (TGA), due to a potential product separation issue, we are recalling the following batches:

• Solar Screen Mineral Zinc Hydrating Face Sunscreen Lotion SPF 50+ 50ml (Batch 4720, Expiry 09/2027, AUST L 445117)

• Solar Screen Mineral Zinc Hydrating Body Sunscreen Lotion SPF 50+ 120ml Batch 4721, Expiry 09/2027, AUST L 445118)

What is the issue?

The affected batches may show visible separation within the formulation, where the oil and water components may no longer remain fully emulsified. This can influence how evenly and smoothly the sunscreen spreads on the skin, which may in turn cause inconsistent or reduced sun protection.

Where separation occurs, the product’s appearance and performance may not meet the intended product specifications. Affected units may present: visible separation at the surface, altered viscosity, or a non-uniform texture upon dispensing from the tube.

This issue may not be evident in every unit, however, as a precautionary measure, we are recalling this batch.

What to do if you have the product?

If you purchased the products mentioned above, discontinue use immediately.

No - no other product other than Solar Screen Mineral Zinc Hydrating Face Sunscreen Lotion and Solar Screen Mineral Zinc Hydrating Body Sunscreen Lotion has been affected.

How long will my gift voucher take to receive?

Once your return has been registered, and voucher has been processed, it can take 48 hours for you to receive it.

Do I need a receipt to get a refund?

No, you do not need a receipt to receive a voucher for the recalled product.

However, you will need to email clear photos of the front and back of the product to returns@gem-products.co and physically return the faulty item to PO Box 3047 BURNLEY NORTH VIC 3121. Once the return is received and registered, we will issue a website voucher accordingly.

Can I exchange the product for another Gem product instead of a refund?

We will provide a website voucher as compensation, redeemable against any product on our website.

Can I continue to use Gem Mineral Zinc Sunscreen SPF 50+ Face or Body Lotions?

If you have purchased one of the above batches of Gem Mineral Zinc Sunscreen SPF50+ Face or Body Lotions, do not use it. Please contact Gem Care Products Pty Ltd customer service at returns@gem-products.co to facilitate a return and compensation.
